The story behind our name reflects the values and culture of the company.
Mara means 'of the sea' in Scottish Gaelic.
Mol has two meanings in Gaelic: shingle/pebble and it also means to recommend, praise or propose.
The founder, Pat Macleod's great, great grandfather lived in a small village with a shingle beach in Harris, called Molinginish. It was a tough life. Their determination and resilience was at the heart of their survival - qualities that are in her DNA and which form the bedrock of Molmara Media.
